Structures, Inc. worked with Ely, Inc and the owner, the Missouri History Museum to coordinate, the move of the Charles Lindbergh monoplane from a hangar at St. Louis Lambert Airport to the Main Terminal to be reassembled and hoisted to the ceiling.
Structures, Inc. was hired as the structural engineer to work with Smithsonian and National Aviation Museum consultant, Ed Marshall with Restoration Technologies, to determine I-Bolt connections and forces from the airport structural steel to the cabling connections as well as the design of specialty brackets to connect to the cabling to the plane.
Additionally, Structures, Inc. created the lift plans and managed the hoist of the historic monoplane.
